IPOH: The decision to pick a Selangor-based company to manage its solid waste was decided during the Pakatan Harapan state administration, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu .He said this in response to Perak Opposition leader Dr Abdul Aziz Bari's post on his Facebook page on Wednesday , questioning the state government for hiring the company without open tender.

"I find it weird that the state Pakatan is questioning the decision when it was made last year when I was the Mentri Besar. "My friends in Pakatan should relook the decisions we made together before, including this," he told reporters at the state secretariat building on Thursday .Faizal said a state-owned company would be working with the company from Selangor.

"They were chosen for their long experience in managing solid waste. The state will benefit from working hand-in-hand with them," he said.
