Go outside North America, however, and things look different. Compared with the theatrical box office, the PVOD market in much of the world is still tiny. It's near nonexistent in China and accounted for less than 5 percent of the U.K.'s $3.2 billion home entertainment market in 2019. Every movie they’ve crumbed out to VOD has been for children or people that know better than to waste their money with a junk release. Studios make it sound like they’re having some brilliant thought here. Corona homer-rs have been screaming for this since April.
It's way past time to offer all films on demand.
