A white man waving an AR-15 around in front of his mansion says much more about America than you'd think

The McCloskeys in front their house on Portland Place as protesters march to Mayor Lyda Krewson's house, in St. Louis, June 28, 2020.Video of the scene does not appear to show any armed protestors nor does it appear to show any protestors stepping off the private street and onto the McCloskeys' lawn. In fact, video shows protestors holding their hands up, telling McCloskey not to shoot and trying to de-escalate the situation by moving one another along..

Looking for clear legal answers can only go so far amid murky, overlapping zones of public and private. Analogies to other cases — like that of George Zimmerman, who had effectively self-deputized as a neighborhood watchman when he killed Trayvon Martin in a Florida subdivision in 2012 — provide little clarity as far as the letter of the law is concerned.Michael B. Listening to the McCloskeys' own statements and those of their lawyer, one cannot but be struck by certain phrases. Per their lawyer, the McCloskeys, although "melanin-deficient," are not racist and in fact "support" Black Lives Matter, the "message" of which they deem "noble.

Is says the following: 'When rule of law fails - 2nd Amendment is their to protect you and your family'

Is this the freedom that 4thofJuly gave?

Yes. The BLM terrorist broke through a gate on private property and threatened to kill him and his family. How convenient for you to leave that out

What it says about America: Sometimes there's a mob outside your house in America.

If they thought anyone in that crowd was armed they wouldnt be standing there like that. ChrisCuomo

He had a mansion and money to buy such weapons. Rich white privilege vs poor color people

Business Insider, what does this have to do with business?

Idiots

How DARE they protect their lives and property!!!!

Racist headline! Any man will do the same to protect himself, family and his properties if face w/ the same situation. It's better to be proactive than reactive when face with imminent danger and unpredictable situation.

He is more than a man. He is actually a left leaning Civil Rights lawyer. And he was not waving his AR-15 around. Don't you employ journalists? You should, as it would reduce the risk of making yourself look irrelevant.

they have done what they should do to protect themselves from looting mobs.

Can we at least agree her apology over doxxing protesters was BS. '18,000 square foot mansion'

It says “respect private property”

If an angry mob stormed my property expect the same from me

My brain can't process this image properly. I keep thinking it's some frame from a movie like 'The Purge' or something like that. As for me, I have never even seen a gun up close, so I imagine how terrified the people passing by should be.

Wrong headline . Mostly a guy trying to protect himself from the looting mob

So if it was a Blackman ... would that also tell you something ... if so what

Why do have to declare 'white' man, thats racist. The mob ripped down an iron gate stromed his property and threatened to kill him and burn his home down. And the cops would not respond. The 2nd Amendment is still valid!

Arrest Him.

Tells you that Democrat mayor’s have bowed to the mob and are unwilling to keep law and order. Hate to see it!

Missouri Governor: Have the McCloskeys disbarred for Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. - Sign the Petition! via Change GovParsonMO mobarnews

Omg, try, a bunch of anarcho communists are destroying property across the country and people in residential neighborhoods won’t tolerate it in their backyard. Come to my neighborhood with that shit, I’ll shoot first.

Why gun shootings are more in USCos everyone got a nice gun in handy when they got angry .....

Filthy rich with a machine gun in front of your mansion. Like an early 2000s rap video

race baiting
