BREAKING: National Theatre axes 400 jobs as pandemic wreaks havoc on arts industry

The performing arts industry faces ‘the real possibility of complete obliteration’, experts have warned crisis continues to wreak havoc on the arts industry.

Bosses at the National Theatre said the decision was unavoidable, adding it will still be ‘many months before it will be possible to perform to audiences at usual capacities’. Sonia Friedman, the producer behind West End hits such as The Book of Mormon and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, has said the performing arts industry faces ‘the real possibility of complete obliteration’ without a government rescue package.

This is properly heartbreaking. So many kids, adults etc give their arms and legs to work in this industry, often for not a lot of money.

No pity for the theatres...most just waste money and act like the bastion of the crypto racist white left..there used to be black theatres everywhere until they were stabbed in the back by their white leftist, um, colleagues. So much shit, you don't know.
