With uncertainty over foreign travel, the push is on to promote the domestic market for this year's summer holidays. Failte_Ireland has helped establish 23 teams around the country to help businesses attract more home-based tourists |

As uncertainty continues regarding foreign travel and what countries the Government does not want us to visit and what countries may be on the 'green list', the drive is on to promote the domestic tourism market over the next six weeks.

Fáilte Ireland recently launched a Covid-19 safety charter, to help businesses in the sector undertake the appropriate practices to keep guests safe and give them peace of mind. "We want to ensure that visitors know the city is re-open, that it's safe," Martina Comerford, co-ordinator of the welcome ambassadors, explained.
