Erik McGregor/LightRocket via Getty Imagesonald Trump has not given a dime to his reelection campaign, opting instead to fund the entire effort with his donors’ money. His business, meanwhile, has continued to charge the campaign for things like food, lodging and rent. The result is that $2.2 million of contributions from other people has turned into $2.2 million of revenue for Trump.

It’s a meaningful sum, even for a large business. Consider the payments to Trump National Doral, the president’s golf resort in Miami. In 2017, Trump’s first year leading the country, revenues at Doral dropped from $88 million to $75 million, dragging profits down from $12.4 million to just $4.3 million. The next year, the RNC, which had spent just $3,000 at the property in 2017, upped its expenditures to $603,000.

Trump Bedminster's customers include Trump Victory, one of the president's joint fundraising committees. It's not the only Trump asset getting political payouts. While the Trump Organization was working to fill space inside Trump Tower, the president’s reelection campaign remained a reliable tenant, spending about $38,000 on rent per month. More than three years after Trump became president, those payments now total $1.5 million, an even bigger haul than the amount that went to Doral.

The reelection campaign hasn’t spent much money at Mar-a-Lago. But Trump Victory, one of its joint fundraising committees, has picked up the slack and shelled out $345,000 since Trump took office, according to the review of filings. The RNC chipped in $290,000, as well.Wang Yingh/Newscom

Of course

Been saying this crap for YEARS.

The liar in chief is at it again.

What else would you expect

Trump don't give a shit on money. He don't even take the money for the job and lose money in his business as he can not lead it. Forbes knows it and love to bully. after 3rd of nov if everything is red they are all gone for good.

Blah, blah, blah. Only concerned with where campaign funds go now? Give me a break.

So, they would get charged by any other restaurant or hotel. What’s your problem!

Wow nice view

This is So lowkey ruthless

We’re paying for his campaign. He uses every TV interview and press conference to push his agenda. Talk about free publicity.

and how does that affect your business? or earnings?

billcenter He does not take a paycheck for being President and donates to great causes. You can do better Forbes.

jimsteeg I'm cool with it.

BLM has given Biden $40 Million, it’s the campaigns choice

Wahhhhh

He’s working tirelessly for this country for free. Find another petulant complaint.

If it's legal under election guidelines it is fair game. Do an article on Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala, Pocahontas Warren how they also use election funds to charge for expenses. Better yet do a piece on the Omar in Minnesota who paid $1 million to husband consulting company.

It's all business

ForQ2 Once a grifter, always a grifter! LMAO Waste his donors' money? Fabulous!

And Black Lives Matter hasn’t given a dime to help black lives but has routed millions to Biden through ActBlue. What’s your point?

I'm less worried about the billionaire who lost money during his presidency than the politicians who's net worth are continuing to go up..

Wow really well that’s Donald Trump for you. So let me help Trump out I’m gonna need all the Trump donors to donate today $5000 each thanks in advance lol.

He is literally using his donors' money instead of his own! This is YOUR election Trump, at least use YOUR money!

A true business man 😄

Is he still not collecting a paycheck for being Prez Ok let him charge for his business doing business.

😱😱😱 How much has Crooked Joe given to his own campaign?

Haha what a con man.

Did Obama fund his campaign? Did Obama give up his salary? Did Bush? Did Clinton? WTF is wrong with you?

So, where's the issue?

of course he did...he is a mooch

How dare he own a business that actually wants to make money!!! Evil!!!!

Umm, ye. Did you expect anything else?

Honestly though, anyone willing to give MK ey to Donald Trump deserves what they are getting for it.

....that's beautiful, he's the people's president.. maga all the way... 😂💪🏾

This should be illegal.

The 'billionaire ' What a welfare queen.

In the old days (pre 2016) they used to call this “self-dealing”

But you have become so politically driven that your business of reporting the business has ended. I will no longer follow you. I am tired of politics on business.
