The company has lodged a planning application for the state of the art store as part of a wider development.In conjunction with the landowner, Lidl is working with architects and planners to create a bespoke design in keeping with the area to ensure that the new development will contribute positively to Blarney.
The shop will also include a green roof which means it will be partially covered in vegetation absorbing rainwater and provides insulation reducing the need for in store drainage systems.
