Survivors of Joseph DeAngelo, the man now known as the 'Golden State Killer,' addressed him directly in court in powerful and emotional victim impact statements.

Joseph DeAngelo pleaded guilty to 13 counts of first-degree murder in front of dozens of victims and victims' relatives in June as part of a plea deal.

"Kindness is a sign of strength not weakness. I can't believe that the golden state killer recieves no death penalty but if he was black he would get strangled on the way to court. 😑

However, being a killer and all, he remained unmoved.

It's a shame that he will never live long enough to serve the sentence that will be passed down....

I wish your report would have mentioned the work by Patton's wife and her colleagues to track down this man after the police had given up on locating him.
