Ragu brand pasta sauces, owned by parent food company Mizkan America, Inc., appears to have quietly pulled out of the Canadian market sometime this summer. After Canadians began to notice a lack of Ragu on the shelves, several took to Twitter to ask the company where the sauces were.“We regret to inform you that RAGÚ has made the hard decision to exit the Canadian pasta-sauce market,” one statement from June 15 reads. “We hope that you have enjoyed the delicious taste of RAGÚ and are very sorry for any inconvenience.”

Ragu ordinary and common. I think over the years and now with pandemic that people have learned to make own sauces when need and freeze for later use. Most people can make there own sauce that tastes way better than Ragu. Those that can't there are many brands making sauce.

Obviously not as popular as reported. There are a few customers who love the high sugar content. Most choose pasta sauce with better ingredients and flavour. Retailers find it only sells when it is on a loss leader sale.
I will miss it, but guess I will move on to something else.
Ragu sauce was dollar store food ; good enough for Americans but not Canadians.
Why is this 'news'? Company's constantly add, delete products and yes, some pull right out of the country. So what? It's business and trade on a normal day. Not like it affects our economy or anything.

It was always quite salty and thin to my taste. You nearly always have to doctor a jarred sauce anyway as they are kind of blah and lack enough veggies and if you live with a meat lover enough (or any) meat. Once thinned with veggies, herbs and some meat it is less salty
