Opinion | The end is near for the Pentagon's endless budget explosion. By SavannahEWooten.

A formation of the Blue Angels fly over Chicago, the United States, May 12, 2020. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels squadron flew over Chicago to salute the healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The US spends more on its military than the next nine countries combined.During a national pandemic, it is unconscionable that this money isn't being spent on Americans in need. This is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed are those of the author.

Public_Citizen SavannahEWooten Cut the militaryindustrialcomplex budget in half, use it to provide jobs, healthcare and rebuild our infrastructure. Military is supposed to be for defense, not for contractors to bleed the country dry.

Public_Citizen SavannahEWooten then why is JulianAssange being tortured to death? FreeAssange

Public_Citizen SavannahEWooten Good, we could pay for hundreds of social programs with a fraction of their budget.
