Robinhood salaries revealed: From $322,000 a year to $18 an hour, this is how much the fintech unicorn pays its employees

, across the board: software engineering, data science, business roles, finance, risk management and so on.We can glean insight from how much it pays the workers it hires from overseas. Corporations have to disclose to the federal government how much they pay workers through the H-1B visa program, an important part of how tech companies recruit. The Office of Foreign Labor Certification makes that information public annually.

Business Insider went through data released in 2020, which included jobs hired for up to the last six years, to discover how much Robinhood pays software engineers, data scientists, fraud specialists and other roles. These hires were for primarily for positions in California, with a few roles in Florida.

This is annual salary data only and does not include other compensation such as stock or bonuses. Although not a complete picture of how much the data unicorn pays its workers, the information still provides rare insight into a private company.Vlad Tenev, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of RobinhoodOf the 34 positions from which Robinhood hired an employee from overseas, 16 of them were software engineers, all hired for roles in California. The pay scale varied widely for this title.
