The High Court heard that he was unhappy with how Mr Tuppani had treated his daughter and believed that it was part of a plan to cheat him of his business. After Tan's younger daughter Sherry was suspended from the company on July 4, 2017, he believed that Mr Tuppani planned to cheat him of his business by divorcing Ms Shyller Tan after taking control of all their shares.
