New York is committed to making outdoor dining a permanent option for the thousands of restaurants that have embraced the concept since the coronavirus pandemic struck in the spring, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Friday. The bubbles caught the eye of Café du Soleil owner Alain Chevreux in July when he was online, figuring out how to stay in business.

They are outside which is healthier without those plastic bubbles! those bubbles are breeding grounds of enclosed germs and potential covid infection because of the moisture/droplets in the air accumulating in the enclosed space. The next customers get to breath it all in.
