Davison notes that she took on the directing assignment as a way to give hope during a depressing time. “Gloria Steinem suggested that I interview the historian Lisa Tetrault, which turned out to be a great idea,” she adds. “I’m really excited about the ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ because I’ve always been a huge Tom Hayden fan.”
