As Sydney's hotels continue to suffer due to the coronavirus pandemic, the accommodation sector is arguing locals should be offered vouchers to entice them to stay in their own city like in Tasmania, South Australia and the NT.

"Those properties that are within a three or four hour drive of Sydney are doing extremely well," James Michael, CEO of Tourism Accommodation Australia said. absolute disgrace to come out and cry that their rooms are not sold when there are 30.000 AbandonedAussies who cannot return home because of travelcap introduced to 'manage hotel capacity' There is capacity so BringThemHome and eliminate the travelcap immediately

How about accommodating the 30,000 or so strandedAussies asap? Why is there a travelcap on the number of seats airlines can use on an inbound flight (approx 70) then? Or are they not good enough for business or Australia
