How food transparency, healthy soil, and nutritious diets could lead to a hunger-free world KelloggCompany ad

On October 13, Kellogg hosted a virtual event, "Fighting Hunger at Every Table," in celebration of World Food Day 2020.

Hosted by Danielle Nierenberg, president of Food Tank, the event shared the progress being made toward achieving the UN's mission of eliminating world hunger by 2030, and what everyone can do to contribute. Rise and shine: Understanding the intersection of hunger and climate change. By using sustainable farming approaches, such as yield monitor data and satellite imagery, farmers can test the quality of soil nutrients, creating resilient crop resources necessary to produce the foods we eat.

Grocery retailers like Ahold Delhaize are working to institutionalize accurate measuring tools that detect how much food is being disposed throughout production, which will additionally help develop tools for setting waste reduction targets.
