SINGAPORE — Market interest in the S$1,000 note has increased, after the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced on Tuesday (Nov 3) that it will stop issuing the banknotes from January next year.

One report quoting MAS said there is 26m pieces in circulation...here it is quoted 40m...so dunno which one is the fake news?
