The world's biggest tech companies are lending the incredible processing power of their supercomputers to the globe's best scientists in a bid to combat COVID-19. "A phone call from IBM to the White House would unite more than 50 businesses and institutions within a few days," Sky News Business Editor Ticky Fullerton said.

"Even archrivals Google and Microsoft would join IBM to battle mankind's enemy," she said. "Everybody was ready to say yes," said IBM Fellow, Vice President of IBM Europe and Director of the IBM Research Lab in Zurich, Dr Alessandro Curioni. "Many of the IT companies, our competitors, they went together trying to provide, for free in a really unprecedented way, all the computational resources that were available to the scientific community".
