Apple brought back the familiar startup chime with macOS 11. It might seem like a small change, but it's actually a big deal

. Technically, it still has to "boot up" when you power it on, but you no longer had to press a button to make that happen. It was as integral as the icons or the logo or the shape of the device. It was familiar. In fact, even when you purchased a new Mac, even one that might look quite different from the one it replaced, your very first experience was the same when you turned it on.

No, this is not a big deal. The big deal is Big Sur completely destroyed my Mac. Worked fine one day, downloaded this and it shuts down my computer after 5 minutes
