He said that the Asian Football Confederation , of which he is an executive committee member, would continue to stand by their members as it’s evident that it would be difficult to completely break the chain of Covid-19 infection. “Based on the latest scenario, the football industry in certain Asian countries will continue to face this challenge, which requires us to work together to fight this crisis,” he said in a statement today.

Infantino also emphasised the importance of unity and solidarity in ensuring the continuity of football, especially in efforts to see the sport return to normal in 2021.
