Hannah Reid, from London Grammar, tells Radio 1 Newsbeat that music is still a sexist industry.

"Men that I didn't know would watch a performance and then come up to me afterwards and say they didn't like what I was wearing - maybe I'm wrong, but I can't imagine that happening to, say, Chris Martin."

The band have just released their third album, California Soil, and Hannah's experiences of a "sexist" music industry crop up more than a few times in its lyrics.

I often wonder what the fuck is Chris Martin wearing to be honest.

Modern feminism embarrasses me

Wear what you want, who gives a shit.

Are all men in industry misogynists?

Men aren't told what to wear, are they? It is called question tag.

Men are told what to wear just as much as females and are also called out if the image doesn't look right. Women don't realise of the sexism and harrassment men face hence why most men are committing suicide because we're not listened too or have our complaints taken seriously.

Welcome to life, it will fuck you up...regularly AND very, very hard...

Non story, great band.

londongrammar Here's an idea, if someone tells they dont like you clothes, tell them to mind their own business... basically just as men and women have managed to do most of their lives and then the BBC can concentrate on actual news-worthy stuff ?

BBC journalism 📉📉📉 since 2005

Another non story from the BBC

What a load of bollocks. Change the record BBC.

Can we just make music and shut up about all the injustices? The world is not a fair place and it's not going to be fair.
