Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has drawn election battle lines over his $130 billion phase three tax cuts and urged the Labor Party to voice their support of the legislation.

If supported the cuts would abolish the 37 per cent tax bracket – leaving earnings between $45,000 and $200,000 taxed at 30 per cent. Mr Frydenberg insists the scheme "would create a stronger system" but said the opposition has not revealed whether they will commit. He warns middle-income earners would be hundreds of dollars a year worse off if the party does not support the cuts.
