Active mobile subscribers rose 27.8% in the year to March, benefiting from the explosion in data usage

Just more than eight years since taking the helm at SA’s now third-largest mobile operator, Sipho Maseko and his team at Telkom expect the growth momentum in the mobile business — which now accounts for the lion’s share of total revenue, having overtaken the declining legacy fixed-line service unit — to continue, driven in large part by data.
