The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers says there seems to be a lack of coordination among agencies. FMTNews Factories Covid19 Enforcement

A factory inspected by authorities in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. FMM’s Soh Thian Lai says the presence of big enforcement teams makes business owners ‘very uncomfortable’.

“The industries are subjected to numerous raids and visits by different enforcement agencies at different times,” he told FMT. “During this very challenging period, these raids really disrupt operations.” Calling for better coordination among the authorities, he pleaded for time for companies to rectify problems, saying they should not be immediately closed down and slapped with punitive fines.
