"It feels like we are second class citizens, we provide a big revenue for the government and we are a big cultural hub for this country. "A lot of people's mental health has been affected massively," is the worry for Radio 1 DJ Arielle Free.Club owners and promoters say lockdown has pushed them and their finances to the edge.

"My bank manager thinks it's madness to buy this place" says Arron Mellor owner of Tokyo Industries which owns a chain of venues across the North of England. He doesn't think the government value his type of venue."They're stuck in a world of the 1990s. Is this possible? SkyNews Dr Gabriel Scally, who sits on the Independent SAGE panel, suggested the government decided to open clubs on 19 July to try to achieve so-called 'herd immunity' **by getting more people infected**

Open the nightclubs, the addicts are tired of home drug use, they need to do it in a public toilet and dance afterwards while having shots of sambuca and jagerbombs

All the doom and gloomers can do one! If you donte feel safe then don't go out! Stay in your own self imposed lockdown

Nightclub reopening to many younger who have not fully vaccinated! Remarkable Boris, ingenious! Reopening our society when the number of infections is going up, lockdowns also when it going up too. All the same to him!? Put a mask on at least!?

They are so unnecessary and will only create problems.

Has anyone considered the health, safety and welfare of the people who have to work there?

Omg that's frightening there should be a vaccine passport use for night club and large venue access maybe then the young ones would fkn go and get vaccinated mad spreaders

Now the problems really begin..!!!!!!

All the idiots out then

'FREEDOM DAY' = Freedom to catch covid21 a lot quicker than you would have yesterday. Only idiots with no self worth will go to nightclubs surely.

Another negative spin on a subject from the BBC... You're becoming too much..

Time for Covid to party 😂

Hero Fiennes Tiffin at Grand Prix with his Fiancee. We all know who that is. I think congratulations are in order. Check out the ring on her finger. HFT has good taste. Thought after fandom were the best FBI's. See Hero Portugal (clue) GrandPrix Hamilton

Hahaha waiting for the covit stats

I hope it was worth-it.. 🥳🙄😷🤮💩💩💩

Who goes clubbing on a Monday?

Well Boris has removed all covid restrictions. Its good to go. For freedom day!! What a title.

Just tested positive. But it's freedom day. Masks, sanitisers in the bin. Covid app uninstalled. Going spread this as much as I can. Hopefully help the govt see off the ageing population. stop them sponging off the state. A few pints at the Spoons, perhaps the theatre then CLUBS!

No mention of any measures they will be taking to protect the health of their customers in what will be high risk, poorly ventilated environments. They won’t be open for long.

BBC news is so dreary. The bit I caught last night sounded like a press release from the Labour Party. So biased. The sad thing is they probably don’t realise they are doing it but more likely it is intentional. Watch GBNEWS for a change it’ll do you some good.

There's no way most nightclubs can provide adequate ventilation and distancing mitigations. It also seems really unlikely that staff and clienteles would all be double vaccinated. Opening them seems entirely wrongheaded.

Im so pleased that it must have been soentific data showing covid will not spread through visiting nightclubs . Gosh we are back to highest percentage is from the home setting !!!!!!!!!!

That industry’s problems are about to begin FreeDumbDayUK

The Covid problems from Nightclubs opening should be your headline.

Yes! Go dance and sweat it up! Great way to keep Covid going!

1. Stupidity ✅

Watch the contrarians. The ones who say we need to open up when there's restrictions put in place. And as soon as they're lifted say we need them, the govs killing us. 🙄

Nightclubs will 100% be the reason we have another lockdown. Same thing happened in I think it was Holland…

EXC: A message from your 🤡 PM BorisJohnson on Freedumb day 🗣️

good luck
