Stocks to watch: Wilmar, MLT, Chip Eng Seng, Chaswood, Singapore Paincare

Wilmar International:

The proposed initial public offering of its joint venture Adani Wilmar Limited has been put on hold by India’s securities regulator. Wilmar on Sunday noted that it was aware of media reports speculating that the regulator was holding the processing in abeyance due to investigations against Adani Enterprises Limited, which indirectly owns half of AWL. Shares of agri-food giant Wilmar rose 0.5 per cent or S$0.02 to close at S$4.27 on Friday.

Mapletree Logistics Trust : It has entered into a new sale-and-purchase agreement to acquire Mapletree Logistics Hub - Tanjung Pelepas for RM404.8 million after an earlier agreement lapsed. Based on the acquisition price, the deal is expected to be accretive with an initial net property income yield of 5.4 per cent, said its manager on Friday. Units of MLT ended S$0.02 or 1 per cent higher at S$2.09, before the announcement was made.
