Premier Gladys Berejiklian has urged business owners to “make sure” workers get the jab as she drives towards National Cabinet’s 80 per cent vaccine target.

“If you're a business, make sure your employees are vaccinated. If you're a citizen make sure yourself, your families, loved ones and friends are vaccinated,” she said.NSW Health administered 47,429 COVID-19 vaccines in the 24 hours to 8pm on Monday, including 10,187 at the vaccination centre at Sydney Olympic Park.

Ms Berejiklian said the state may be able to reach seven million jabs in arms this week which “would be amazing”. It comes as state and territory leaders push to achieve an 80 per cent vaccine rate with some promising eased restrictions even if COVID-19 case rates remain elevated.
