Cinema chain operator Golden Screen Cinemas will not reopen its doors just yet, pending guidelines from the government. In a short announcement on Twitter, the company said it is also working to ensure that there is enough content to show in its cinemas.
Even coffee shops and makan shops are not reopening, why would cinemas want to reopen? They don't trust this government anymore.
I have to say GSC. After all that drama on your social media 'cos you thought it was funny and cool, now you do this. That's uncool. Next time, don't be a drama queen, OK?
Smart move. Like I’ve said in a previous thread, the cinema industry cannot afford any setbacks or viral news. They have to stay on top of things from the start. Once they figure this out - it’ll be some relief for the cinema goers.
