Microsoft has announced users will be able to move on from using passwords to log into devices across all platforms.

On Wednesday, the Washington-based company announced the shift from password-based logins to passwordless log in options.

The company has been testing the technology with enterprise users since March with the majority of users expected to have access to the technology in the coming weeks. Microsoft’s CVP of security, compliance and identity, Vasu Jakkal, said the new login process would stop the rigorous resetting of difficult-to-remember passwords.
