Landing a coveted internship with a globally-branded company is almost as important for college kids and recent grads as getting a job. But how can students better their chances of clinching that internship?

of employers say they hire their interns for full-time positions after they graduate before looking elsewhere for potential employees. As a result, corporate recruiters from blue-chip companies are flooded yearly with resumés from university students and recent graduates seeking internships.Just ask Richard Wilson, a recent engineering graduate from the University of Louisville in Kentucky who landed an internship in global operations at Facebook.

“We believe that all students should have access to opportunities that could open up careers at their dream companies,” said Paragon One founder Matt Wilkerson. “By managing experiential learning programs for companies, we’re opening up the funnel, so more students can engage with Fortune 500 companies and more students get a shot.”
