The NSW Government has announced a $130 million investment into mental health as part of the state's roadmap to recovery.

Premier Dominic Perrottet said the COVID-19 lockdown combined with the stress of working from home and home schooling has seen a record number of people reach out to crisis lines.

Minister for Mental Health Bronnie Taylor said this move is a"game changer" for people across New South Wales as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. "That conversation that they have will then inspire and encourage other conversations. and there we have a growing web of support that's going to exist in our communities.Some of the key highlights of the mental health recovery package include:over two yearsto boost the surge capacity of the mental health clinical workforce.

"The funding will enable us to support ongoing improvements to air quality in public schools, making schools some of the best ventilated spaces in the community."
