America's worker shortage is alive and well, much to the misfortune of US companies that need staff to keep up with demand.

The National Association of Business Economics found that nearly half — 47% — of respondents to its Business Conditions Survey reported a shortage of skilled workers in the third quarter. That's up from 32% reporting shortages in the second quarter of the year, which already was too high for comfort. And nobody thinks the labor shortages will just disappear as 2021 turns to 2022.

Perhaps more eye-opening: not a single business that took part in the survey had lowered prices in the third quarter and none expect to cut prices over the next three months, either.

In my country there is a job shortage with so many skilled people. I'm a safety officer without work😕

Where are all these jobs? Hundreds of apps, no response, no interviews. This is a lie

Stop making not working or supporting yourself so easy and a way of life with all the social programs.

All I hear is bitchin , to many lazy fat Americans is the problem, lots of good pay jobs...

Treat people better. Pay the CEOs and executives less, front line more. No more stock buybacks for corporations. It’s time to invest in employees and not just the 1%. People are fed up with this. Hopefully more strikes develop and the American people rise up.

Guess maybe they should have treated those essential workers fairly instead of demanding 12 hour 7 day a week work when everyone else was at home making more money then they were.

I hear about all these companies needing workers but in my profession as a class b cdl driver I have applied to over 90 jobs and they never call me or answer their phones or they get me in for a interview and then I never hear back from them I have 5yrs experience
