Plenty of big-ticket sales items in the pipeline have prompted agents to predict that 2022 will be another good year, writes Donal Buckley in Property Plus:

Despite the myriad challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit, the value of sales in the Irish investment market in 2021 totalled €5.5 billion – the second highest level on record. It was also some €2.5 billion more than that recorded for 2020. Ending the year on the crest of such a strong wave and with more big ticket sales items in the pipeline has encouraged agents to predict that 2022 will be another good year.
