On Feb. 17, NJ Cannabis Insider is hosting its first business networking event of the year from 6 to 10 p.m. in Jersey City.

NJ Cannabis Insider hosted business mixer in July 2021 at the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park.The state hasn’t yet opened New Jersey’s legal cannabis marketplace, but it has been awarding operating permits as well as accepting more applications to grow and sell.

Set up last year to provide the rules and regulations for the industry to operate under, the state’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission has been working toward opening the adult, general consumer market by February 2022. We may know more this week after the CRC’s upcoming public meeting on Jan. 27. Meanwhile, cannabis operators big and small are preparing for the historic day.
