North West MEC for Social Development, Boitumelo Moiloa, has visited the traumatised family of an 18-year-old girl who was kidnapped in Modutung village in Taung last week.

Moiloa has requested a team of social workers to continue to visit the family to provide them with the necessary psycho-social support in the form of debriefing and trauma counselling.Her siblings tried without success to rescue her but they were overpowered and the man disappeared with Mothibi.

Angry community members later burnt down two huts belonging to traditional healers in Graspan near Modutung village.
