Blackout looms as IBEDC_Disco, Oyo clash over ‘unpaid bills’, power cut at state secretariat via thecableng

Olufemi AtoyebiOyo state government on Wednesday sealed off Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company over alleged failure to pay mandatory bills and taxes.

He said the action was not taken as retaliation for the disconnection of electricity to the state secretariat.A source at the state secretariat told TheCable that the electricity supply to the complex had been disconnected for about a week. Ayodele said the Oyo state government is owing IBEDC a “whopping consumption outstanding of N450 million for over a period of three years”.
