Women's apparel retailer New York & Co. Inc. said Friday it is changing its name to RTW Retailwinds Inc., effective Nov. 19. The name change comes with a change of ticker to "RTW" from "NWY", the company said in a statement. "RTW reflects our vision to maximize the power of our platform to create destination celebrity and lifestyle brand assortments across categories and channels," said Chief Executive Greg Scott. The company is gearing up for the launch of a brand of intimate apparel with actress Kate Hudson and plans to further expand its celebrity brands. Shares were not yet active premarket, but have gained 47.8% in 2018, while the S&P 500 has gained 5%.
