Warne’s management company released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday morning, Australian time, saying he passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.
The news is the second devastating blow for Australian cricket within 24 hours, following the passing of fellow great, Rod Marsh, having suffered a major heart attack last week.He also played 194 One Day Internationals, taking 293 wickets.
RIP Shane, legends we grew up watching and made us fall in love with the game, abo Tendukar, Lara, Muralitharan, Inzamam Ulhak, Makhaya Ntini, Klusner, Donald etc this era was the best
Now that's more like... Being specific that he was the greatest leg spinner... Not just the greatest. Thank you. Some of us know many cricket greats, greater than Shane.
