They want more to be done to keep the drugs and violence out of their neighborhoods.In just the last month, reported assaults and sex offenses are up significantly. But, several crimes are up across the board; arsons are up 130%, robbery 163% and stolen property nearly 90%.It has left many people living and working here—especially small business owners—fed up with the crime, and they let the mayor and the city council know it.
Crimes have become more frequent in parking lots, city streets and businesses. Just last weekend, an employee of a Tacoma pot shop wasSome business owners plan to meet with the Pierce County sheriff to discuss solutions to curb the crime.
Back in the good ole days biggest problem was the Aroma of Tacoma.

I love Tacoma. Folks can post their simplistic knee jerk reactions as to why they think crime IS UP ACROSS THE NATION but maybe ask an actual criminologist. (And if you prefer knee jerk remember this all started in 2020 under Trump)
Cops are refusing to do anything about it until the November elections. They want Republicans in office and this is their way of trying to facilitate that.

Give drug addicts free comfy shelter, food and drugs! BUT make sure they are required to stay in a place FAR AWAY from neighborhoods, cities and towns and keep them away so they won’t bring everyone down with them. (Exceptions to ppl open to rehab)

Tacoma has always been WA’s most violent city. People live there because they can’t afford to live other places. They don’t need more police they need an economic recovery plan.
