Amazon plans to object to union win in New York

Amazon warehouse workers voted to unionize a New York City facility, making it the first successful U.S. organizing effort in the retail giant’s 27-year history.on Staten Island, New York, that resulted in the first successful U.S. organizing effort in the company’s history.

“The employees have spoken and their voices have been heard,” Milner said in a statement. “Amazon is choosing to ignore that, and instead engage in stalling tactics to avoid the inevitable — coming to the bargaining table and negotiating for a contract” on behalf of the warehouse workers on Staten Island.

The biggest challenge is not the union, but keep the place. Amazon can also move to another state if they can do it cheaper.
