Truly appalling and despicable. Firm saves on office rent, heating and lighting by having staff WFH and then decided to chisel them out of 20% of their pay for the privilege. What sort of business model is that ?

You should be getting paid more you are saving the company money by working from home

Sure if the company is paying for a business wifi but are they?

Yeah and their employees should find another firm. If employees really are working less from home then employers should get better staff. Home working doesn't mean working less. Most of us keep our performance regardless of where we are working from.

Don't see why where they work affects pay ? More grubby venal employer tactics to prevent workers getting a better life. Seriously why do people want to work for organisations like this.

Good good

Quite right. Of course the something for nothing rag will hate it

I asked an HR why salaries in Chicago were comparable to NYC where it's more expensive, they told me between rent, tax and utilities, it costed them $40k more a year to have an employee in New York, not counting the salary.

Avoiding all the disgusting ugly repulsive losers you find in any office is well worth a 50% cut in pay. See _Dilbert_.

Sound s about right.

Why a 20% pay cut? They’re using less facilities and still providing the same amount of workload! Plus if they all do it, no office space to pay for. What this is, is no basis for a genuin reason to lower wages. A load of bollocks!

So the firm doesn’t have the overhead of providing office space, *and* they pay 20% less? Presumably there will be a 20% reduction in billable target too Sounds great 🙄

Probably no difference to the money they actually get to keep - they already lose 20 percent on commuting anyway

Sounds like a good deal to me.

. PRs from SHLegal walk in after bank holiday 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Shows how much they value their staff then

You know those losers already have plans for tracking software on WFH computers, etc. Bankruptcy is too good for this firm.

Do they get an extra day off?

Apple staff claim forcing them back to the office is RACISTThe employees petitioned the company on Friday in an open letter after CEO Tim Cook told staffers they would need to work from the office. Yes. Oranges and lemons are still getting furloughed! Its systemic! Have they forgotten who pays their salary. More and more companies are bringing back employees. My guess is the vast majority aren't productive and need supervision.
