South Africa has recorded 2 650 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of laboratory-confirmed infections to 3 798 413. This increase represents a 21% positivity rate.

new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of laboratory-confirmed infections to 3 798 413. This increase represents a 21% positivity rate. According to the NICD,” The National Department of Health reports seven deaths and of these, five occurred in the past 24- 48 hours. This brings the total fatalities to 100 370.”The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng with 51% followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 23%.The following table is a summary of reported COVID-19 admissions by sector:
