The US labor market remained on fire in March with a record 4.5 million workers quitting their jobs, new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed Tuesday.

The number of quits increased most significantly in the professional and business services sector, as well as construction. The overall quits rate moved up to 3%, a level not seen since December 2021."As employers require workers to return to offices, quits are ticking upwards. A major reason for quitting is to find a remote opportunity," wrote ZipRecruiter chief economist Julia Pollak on Twitter. The number of available jobs also rose, climbing to 11.

The manufacturing sector in particular is still struggling with the labor shortage, data from the Institute of Supply Management showed Monday, after a key survey reported higher quits rates.Retail and manufacturing job postings rose, JOLTS data showed, while government jobs and positions in transportation, warehousing and utilities decreased."Workers continue to quit and get hired at fast rates in today's economy.

Why work for Pennies? People making $20,000 while some people are worth Billions of dollars. Is their life somehow more important ? Don’t think so. Rampant corruption- fast tracking a version of the French Revolution - the rich won’t be able to hide even if they are moving.

Dysg fkf fovk

Only on Joe's watch. TRUMP 2024 to save USA from corrupt dems.

Very unlucky in some part of the country

It's not that people quit their jobs, it's the overwhelming amount of illegal aliens in the country filing for their meal ticket, CNN is trash.

When the salary isn't paying my bills anyway then why bother? Im going back to school

That's because they don't want to pay anyone a decent wage , but have money to build space ship's to take 10 minute views of the earth ,- that's that bullshit!!!

Interesting information. It's hard to get good service at many fast-food restaurants.

Great economic numbers

Don't forget all the people making money from social media

So many jobs available but no employees maybe government should stop giving away money so these people can actually work

The media does not seem to want to report on how many people are still collecting from the Goverement

We had a couple of people quit because they found higher paying jobs elsewhere.

I'm not surprised... providing service directly to people has become a very hostile work environment.

Why

Companies short staffed. Current employees taken on more work because short staffed. Then they get burnt out and stressed and quit. Been there. Not worth it doing a job of three employees and getting paid for one position.

What happened to the coverage of the war in Ukraine? Suddenly, it has disappeared, WHY?

Nice

The unemployment numbers are still low because ppl quit jobs that refuse to pay them a living wage and moved to jobs that do.

But muh Biden said it's all gravy.

The United States is commonly thought of as a low-tax country. But workers effectively pay some of the highest taxes in the developed world — without getting a decent welfare state in return.

People are quitting cuz they’re fed up with rock bottom wages and horrible working conditions.

Did they find new jobs or are they unemployed?

But wait, I thought JoeBiden and SpeakerPelosi said they have created jobs. Businesses can't find people to work, there is no job creation from this administration. Wake up America!

😂😂😂😂😂

Hey that was me 🙌 just got the job offer today

I beg your pardon.

And I was this close 🤏 to joining them too

Working for tips just isn't cool anymore..m
