I’m a distractible writer, and this is not optimal for productivity. I was relieved to find Word has all the basic tools clearly displayed at the top bar without taking up too much room, and there is always the comforting presence of the “Saving” icon as I save my work to secure cloud storage on OneDrive. Every program works like this, with tools preempting the situations that necessitate them. I found this to be true while using Excel, which felt like a constant exploration of things I wish I’d known before.
