WA’s peak resources lobby group has appointed Rebecca Tomkinson its next CEO, again shunning direct prior mining industry experience.

Western Australia’s peak resources lobby group has appointed a former healthcare and banking executive as its next chief executive, again shunning prior industry experience.

Rebecca Tomkinson has been named the next CEO of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia. “I have dealt with many CME member companies during my time at RFDS and I’m very much looking forward to learning more about all facets of the sector as I settle into the new role,” Ms Tomkinson said in a statement.
