residents over bad smells has led to the initiation of legal proceedings against a waste management and recycling company.

The EPA said it had received more than 800 complaints from residents last autumn about offensive "rotten egg gas odours" allegedly coming from the company's landfill operation at Eastern Creek. It will be alleged that between March and June 2021, Dial-A-Dump committed an offence under section 129 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, causing the emission of offensive odour - a rotten egg gas smell - from its premises.
