Uber says it wants to eliminate petrol-driven cars from its service by 2030.

A Hyundai KONA Electric at a EV charge station in Crows Nest, Sydney. Rideshare company Uber is cutting service fees for some drivers who use electric vehicles.Uber is slashing service fees by 50 per cent for 2,500 drivers who use electric vehicles over the next three years.

"We have to drive a mass adoption in the uptake of electric vehicles ... quickly over the next eight years. The incentive is restricted to the first 2,500 drivers who already drive a battery-electric car using the Uber app or new drivers with electric cars.

I stopped using Uber when they thought it was ok to use a blackface impersonator for their advertising. 9 out of 10 times your TAXI is cheaper anyway. LOL

SBS As cars are made of more plastic.

Absolutely NOT supporting this, nor E.V's at ALL. The mining to simply supply the Nickle & Lithium required to produce E.V's does MUCH more environmental damage, & that's BEFORE production! ICE vehicles can simply be improved, with better/sustainable fuels, and modifications.

So Uber is going to buy it's drivers cars?
