The organisation urged political parties to engage the service of professionals in their campaigns to avoid prejudice.

The chairman of the NIPR in the state, Adesoji Ademola said this on Monday while addressing journalists in Osogbo on a peace summit organised for gubernatorial candidates in the coming Osun governorship election. Given the intensity of electioneering and the emotions this generates at a time like this, according to Ademola, it has become imperative for the NIPR to engage stakeholders to ensure peace and order during this window.

In the summit theme, “Sustaining Our Values Beyond Elections” the NIPR according to Ademola will be engaging with the gubernatorial candidates and stakeholders on behalf of the public and the good people of Osun State. “During this engagement, we shall be focusing on how the candidates intend to sustain the cherished peace of the State.
