The bicyclist was removed and transported to the hospital, remaining in critical care until passing away on Sunday. The investigation is ongoing. Information can also be submitted throughThe area where this incident occurred is near the busy Cameron and Market street where a popular convenience store sits on the north side of Market and a covered bus stop on the south side that attracts pedestrians and bicyclists.
Floyd Kelly, suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking in the 1200 block of Market Street,Matt Maisel, a city spokesman, said, “Anytime someone loses their life it is tragic, and our deepest condolences go out to the families affected. The Harrisburg police traffic safety unit is still investigating the incident from the 1100 block of Market Street Friday night, and will not have further comment until its investigation is complete.
Unfortunate that driving laws aren’t enforced in .thecityofhbg Drivers park where they want, in front of fire hydrants, stop signs, and drive how they want, U turns, running red lights & stop signs. Perhaps some enforcement would help.
