Currently the holiday earnings threshold is set at €4,500. The minister is proposing to increase this to €6,552.Harris’ department is also hoping this move will help business – in particular tourism and hospitality – with skills shortages over the coming months. From September, all maintenance grants will increase by €200. The income thresholds have been changed to ensure more students are eligible.
Stop forcing so many students to Dublin & that'll reduce the cost significantly, Cities like Waterford & towns like Athlone/Sligo should receive the majority of newly-created 3rd level places. The South-East deserves a properly funded University. SimonHarrisTD What's the delay?
